Frame Quality
Frame Quality
A print without the right frame is an unfinished thought. We designed our frames to complement the artwork without competing with it. Clean lines, quality materials, and a finish that holds up over time.
Handcrafted in the United States
Every Maynila Archive frame is handcrafted and assembled in the United States by our studio partner. Each frame is built to order alongside your print, ensuring the two arrive together as a finished piece, ready to hang.
Solid American Oak
Our frames are made from solid American oak, available in four finishes: Natural, Walnut, Black, and White. Oak is a dense, stable hardwood that resists warping and holds its finish over time. Each frame is sanded, finished, and inspected before assembly.
The Natural finish preserves the wood grain and warmth of the oak. Walnut, Black, and White are finished with multiple coats, sanded between layers, to achieve a refined and consistent result.
UV-Protective Glass
Each framed print is mounted behind real glass with UV protection. This prevents fading caused by light exposure and protects the print from dust and humidity over time. The glass is fitted flush with the frame for a clean, gallery-quality presentation.
Mat Board
We offer an optional white mat board for framed orders. A mat creates a border of space between the print and the frame, a presentation standard used in museums and galleries worldwide. It draws the eye inward and gives the artwork room to breathe. For most historical prints in our collection, we recommend the mat option.
Ready to Hang
Every framed order arrives ready to hang. Brass hanging hardware is included with every frame. Smaller sizes also include an easel for display on shelves or desks. Your print is professionally mounted, taped, and packed with care to arrive in perfect condition.
