Justiniano Asuncion
Justiniano Asuncion was a Filipino painter and illustrator working in 19th-century Manila during the Spanish colonial period. He is best known for his Tipos del País watercolor series, a body of work documenting the people, clothing, and social customs of Philippine society with careful ethnographic detail. His paintings remain among the most important visual records of Filipino life before the modern era. Each print in this collection is restored from historical archives and reproduced as a museum-quality fine art print.
