Justiniano Asuncion
Justiniano Asuncion was one of the most important painters in the Philippines during the 19th century, known for his mastery of miniaturist detail in Tipos del País portraiture. His surviving works are held as national treasures at the Central Bank of the Philippines and the Museum of the Philippines. This collection presents his finest costume portraits of colonial Philippine life, restored from historical archives and reproduced as fine art prints on 300 gsm archival paper.
